FGS/RootsTech 2015: A Photo Recap; Day 3 (Part 1)

Day 3 of my trip was the opening day of RootsTech and the 2nd. day of FGS. I attended FGS classes exclusively only because I didn’t want to fight the crowds at the other side of the conference hall. Thank you to findmypast for a great breakfast and gift bag. Also, thank you to Paul Nauta of FamilySearch for a great and informative behind-the-scenes tour of the RootsTech vendor hall and behind the stage of Hall D where the keynote addresses were made, and which I was fortunate to have my picture with selected keynote speakers afterwards.

I attended the following classes and events:

  •  Findmypast VIP breakfast
  •  General Session; Keynote Speakers: Dennis Brimhall, President & CEO of FamilySearch Mike Mallin, Chief Product Officer, MyHeritage Tan Le, Technology Innovator and Founder of Emotiv
  • Getting the Most Out of Genealogical Evidence by Thomas W. Jones
  • GSG and ISFHWE Sponsored Lunch with Warren Bittner
  • Civil War Medical Records by Craig R. Scott
  • Problem Solving with Probate by Thomas W. Jones
  • NextGen Genealogy Network meeting at the Marriott
